The test wasn't terrible. It probably wasn't great, but it wasn't AWFUL.
I didn't study a whole lot. I blame that on my new distraction in the form of a 5'-11" fellow architect with black hair and blue eyes. He's terribly distracting. In a really good way.
Maybe in 4 - 6 weeks I'll find out that I'm a bonafide architect! Woo! Or maybe not...
It's so nice to not have that test thing looming over me for the summer. We leave on Saturday morning for Chicago! Fun! I'm SO looking forward to all those parties and seeing some new design stuff!!
I've been reading Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood. I bought it about 6 years ago and never got into it. Now I can't put it down.
yesterday, after my test, I was going to go hang out in Alicia's pool all day but of course it POURED down rain. So I got my car inspected (1.5 hours at Firestone - got a lot of reading done and nearly got struck by lightning through the window). I got lunch on my way home, gathered all my papers and made my way to the county courthouse to the assessor's office to prove I don't owe taxes in Jackson County. She made me go back home and get three years worth (09, 08, 07) of bank statements proving that I didn't live in Jackson County. The next lady, a fine specimen for "why old ladies should wax their mustaches" HELPED (hahaha) me by telling me that I couldn't get anything from them because my January 09 address said I lived in Howell County so I would need to go to their office to get my stuff. I was RAVING MAD. She was so rude, gave me little explanation and shrugged me off. If only I had informed her of her hairy lip!!
Why do they need 09 taxes?? I live here NOW. That's exactly what the nice Howell County lady told me mom. Then I called her and had her fax my papers to the DMV. Then I went BACK downtown to get my car tags. Which I did. But I didn't get my driver's license (directly across from tags in the same room) because I don't have a social security card. I have every other form of ID known to man, just not that.
Plus, their map on their website showed them at the corner of Grand and 13th. I'm driving around one way streets in the POURING rain and guess what? They are 3 blocks east of that! WTF?? Who made that map?
So it took me nearly 4 hours of running around for two lousy Missouri license plates.
Then I had a dinner date! Woo!
Work has been pretty slow lately. I hope it picks up soon!
Not much else to tell...all I did as of this last weekend is spend time with Adam, go to Alicia's pool and watch the nephews play T Ball and baseball. Sweet life.
